One mechanism, many places to use it
Storage behind a person is hard to reach. Whether it's on their back, behind a boat seat or on the back of a wheelchair, getting to it means stopping, twisting, getting up or asking for help.
The Paxis swing arm solves that. A hinged frame mounts to any surface behind the user. Pull one release handle and a storage compartment swings around to the front, upright and ready to open. Swing it back and it latches out of the way.
How it works
Stowed
The frame sits flat and latched behind the user.
Release
One hand pulls the release handle.
Swing
The compartment swings around to the front, upright, so nothing spills.
Return
Swing it back and it latches automatically.
The compartment detaches to carry on its own. US 10,064,476 also describes a motorized version.
